Alpha Blood - The Battle for Sanguis" is not your typical vampire story. Alpha Blood is a thrilling, genre-defying series that cleverly blends real-world events, ancient folklore, and modern-day conspiracies. At its core, the story revolves around Generation Alpha, not the "alpha leader of the pack," but the youth born between 2010-2025, whose blood holds a secret far more dangerous than they could ever imagine.
Set against the backdrop of the 2020 pandemic, the plot begins with the rollout of the vaccine—a seemingly simple solution to a global crisis. But this vaccine does far more than save lives. The Diaeta Assembly, the hidden ruling body of vampires, has sinister plans for the vaccine. In it carries a hidden component which is supposed to give vampires greater power once they feed. However, what they didn't realize is that it also altered the blood of Generation Alpha, younger humans, creating a new breed of potential heroes; or destroyers. These young people, just now discovering their powers, are the only ones who can stand against an ancient vampire order.
It story begins in Nashville, TN, and is steeped in real-world intrigue, with actual events like the Christmas Day 2020 bombing in downtown Nashville cleverly woven into the narrative. The city’s iconic Bell Tech aka Bat Building (a fictional twist on the real-life Batman building) becomes ground zero for a larger, more sinister plot. Readers will find themselves questioning what is real and what is fiction, as the lines blur in C.M. James' storytelling.
As Alpha Blood unfolds, readers are taken through layers of intrigue, battles for dominance, and characters who unknowingly play critical roles in the bigger picture. The final Battle for Sanguis (blood).
